What is Resource Mapping?
Provides a process for schools to identify which internal resources they have, which resources they need, and which resources are available in the community and how they can be aligned to achieve goals for student success. Resources are programs, services, places, people, time, money and materials or equipment used to assist in families need(s).
Resource mapping provides a way for schools to share information with the school and community about the resources available within the school, the district and the surrounding community that would benefit our students and their families.
Why do it?
Schools can then use this information to plan more effective use of their current internal and external resources and create partnerships with community groups to fill existing gaps and help students succeed.
