Drama Department Win
The drama department is so proud to announce that we were awarded Best Play, Best Costumes, and Best Actress in Minor Role for a Drama. This is no small feat as we had to beat 16 other schools in the county including several of the performing arts schools. We will now be given the opportunity to perform our production at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center in April.  However, to compete at this level is very, very expensive and several of the students have expressed they will need help coming up with the funding to attend this competition. If anyone is willing to donate or sponsor a student please email me a.s.a.p.  because the paper work is due this week. Thank you for your support.

Navy JROTC Iron Bear Challenge
5th Place Overall of 22 schools!
1st Place: Three Man Carry Relay
3rd Place: Dizzy Izzy, Obstacle Course, 10x100 Relay
5th Place: Fire Hose Relay, Sea Bag Relay, Agility Course, Klacker Board
Unlike our usual drill competitions, this one was a "fun" meet that focused on athleticism.  The trophies will be on display in the ROTC classroom.

HOSA National Finalist!
After a very fun and interesting week at the National Leadership Conference in Nashville, we came home with a national finalist!  Victoria Carpenter was one of the top ten winners in the Medical Laboratory Assisting program. (My shop!!) Our HOSA bowl team scored great in the written test, but unfortunately got out buzzed in the first round.  I am very proud of all the students that attended and hope to have even more this next year, especially since Nationals will be at Coronodo Springs at Walt Disney World!
